This To Be Welcoming Foundational Course introduces key concepts that will run across the curriculum about bias, empathy, civility, and dialogue. This is the common ground where we start learning.

Disability Justice looks at the intersection of disability rights and anti-racism, giving visibility to misrepresented voices using art and graphic design.

Being Kind looks at the significance and simplicity of what “being kind” means.

In this course we will explore how master roasters and blenders use different techniques to unearth coffees' flavors. In ways, the art and science of roasting and blending coffee is about perfecting nature.

Learn why advocacy is important, explore how to be a more effective advocate, and identify ways to take action that are the right fit for you.

This course introduces you to the essentials: where and how coffee grows, our ethical sourcing practices, roasting and blending. You'll also learn to brew coffee and craft espresso beverages.

Become a community champion and gain a strong foundation to understand yourself, communities, and the various nonprofits that work in our communities. 

Mindful Decision Making will lead you through recognizing biases and triggers, discussing and practicing the 5 second rule, and using mindful decision making to maintain the third place.
